History

The Story of the Old Tin Shed

On April 30, 2011, The Old Tin Shed relocated to the first Catholic Church in Bancroft which was originally built in 1852 on Highway 28 or Sherbourne Street North!

In June of 2019, The original founders retired and passed the torch of The Old Tin Shed to Kathryn and Geoffrey Webber.  Moving from the city to live at their cottage, the Webbers were thrilled to take on this amazing business.

It is wonderful to visit with people from all walks of life and areas of our province, country and globe! We welcome everyone and hope that they enjoy their visit.  The Old Tin Shed is truly an experience. We are in the business of making your home cozy with a variety of candles in delicious scents, handmade soaps, honey, preserves, locally made products, pillows, throws and so much more.  You can also find kitchenware, carpets, lighting, and linens to brighten your day. There is also a large clothing section with a variety of styles. For the home artists and craftsmen, we have Fusion Mineral Paint and of course, our huge selection of iron hardware such as hooks, handles, brackets and hinges.

Don’t forget to check-out the antique barn at the back of the property for antiques and unique finds.  The Webbers are proud to offer products sourced within 100-miles to support local artisans and craftsmen.

We invite you to visit THE OLD TIN SHED in beautiful Bancroft and take some magic home with you.  It is unlike anything you have enjoyed in the past and a beautiful drive to the country.

Come for a visit; and be inspired.
