Winning all these awards has gotten the attention of the press, and we've had a few articles written about us. We're so moved by the piece in the Spring edition of Country Roads Magazine. If you're not familiar with Country Roads, you should definitely pick up a copy. The magazine celebrates life in Hastings County, and always does a great job of sharing our little piece of paradise with the world, by covering stories about local initiatives, arts, interesting people, nature, music, and now…well…us.
We sat down (kind of) with writer Michelle Annette Tremblay, who writes for Country Roads, and she quizzed us about our roots and our future plans. It was a busy day here in the shop, with several interruptions, and honestly we had no idea how the article was going to turn out. But we were so touched when we read it, because it's such an intimate account of all the things we strive to do here, of our past, of our future, and even the story of how we (Peter and Janis) met and fell in love. I know, right? I'm blushing just thinking about it. But we're happy to share our story, and we feel so fortunate to be running a business we love, in a community we love, surrounded by an incredible landscape and wonderful people, and we're glad that comes through in the article.
You can read the article here, or pick up a copy of Country Roads at our shop, or the Visitor Information Centre in Bancroft (as well as various other locations around the county.)
And… if all this wasn't enough to make us blush, check back here next week, when we share another article about us. Until then, enjoy this gorgeous spring weather, and pop by the shop when you can for a cup of coffee and some fabulous sales. We look forward to seeing you!
